Why Switch From Fluorescent to Panoptics LED?

Our LED Tubes have had great success in cooler and freezer applications. There is significant energy savings associated with using Panoptics LEDs instead of fluorescent tubes. On average our LED Tubes cut energy costs by 50-70%. Our 5ft tubes only require 21 watts of energy compared to the 40-70 watts fluorescents inefficiently use.

With LEDs you can avoid the burden of maintenance costs and the expenses of buying replacement bulbs. You can eliminate the need to replace flickering or dead fluorescent tubes every month. Our Led tube's lifespan can last up to ten years when used for 12 hours a day.

Another advantage of using Panoptics LED Tubes in refrigeration applications is that LEDs thrive in cold environments. Our tubes were designed to operate in temperatures as low as -20°C. Fluorescents don't perform well in cold temperatures, on average they dim by 20-30% inside coolers and freezers.

We often ask our customer's if it makes any sense to install a small heater inside their refrigeration units. The resounding answer is "No," but that's exactly what people are doing by using fluorescents. Fluorescents generate enough heat to substantially raise the temperature inside your coolers and freezers. Our customer's can save an additional 8-13% on energy costs since the load on their compressor decreases; this is due to the lower operating temperature of LEDs. Fluorescents convert 30% of energy directly to heat and only use 70% of energy to produce light. LEDs on the other hand only convert 5% of energy to heat and they utilize 95% of the energy to produce efficient light.
